Sharing courses
Pass on a published version as a course file, open and update course files and use a course as a draft.
The course file
Zudoria passes courses on as a course file with the extension ".zudoria". It contains a published version with all images, videos, audio files and PDFs. What you pass on is always the published version, never the draft you are currently working on.
The course file is signed. If it is damaged or changed on the way, Zudoria does not open it and tells you so.
Share a course file
- Publish the course, see Creating a course.
- Open the course under Create and go to the Share section.
- Tap Share course file to send it by e-mail, messenger or to another app. Or tap Save course file to store it, for example in Google Drive.
You decide where the file goes from there: on the intranet, on your website, in a shared folder or as an attachment. Zudoria does not upload anything to a server for this.
Open a course file
- Save the course file on your device, for example from the e-mail or from Google Drive.
- Open Zudoria, switch to the Learn area and tap Courses.
- Tap Open course file and choose the file.
Zudoria then tells you that the course is now in your courses. From now on it works without internet.
Install a new version
If you have changed a course, publish a new version and pass on the new course file. Whoever opens it gets the new version in place of the old one.
- If the file is newer, it replaces the existing version.
- If the file is the same, nothing changes.
- If the file is older than the existing version, Zudoria keeps the newer one.
Learning progress belongs to the respective version. Participation confirmations that have already been created stay under Records.
Use a course as a draft
You cannot edit a course file that you have opened. If you want to use a course as the basis for your own, tap Use course file as draft in the Create area and choose the file. Zudoria creates a new course of your own from it. The original course stays unchanged.
This is also how you move a course to another device of your own to keep working on it there. For all courses, drafts and records at once, use a backup, see Backup and devices.
If a course file won't open
- "This is not a Zudoria course file.": The file is not a .zudoria file, or it was renamed or unpacked while downloading.
- "This course file comes from a newer version of Zudoria.": Update the app in Google Play.
- "The course file is damaged or was changed afterwards.": Ask for the file to be sent again.
- "The course file is too large.": Zudoria opens courses up to 300 MB.
